Navigate perimenopause and menopause with clarity, calm, and confidence.

Feel clearer, calmer, and more like yourself.

Perimenopause and menopause can bring profound cognitive, emotional, and physical changes — from brain fog, memory lapses, and low motivation to irritability, anxiety, disrupted sleep, and changes in confidence or focus. These shifts stem from real hormonal and neurochemical fluctuations that can influence how you think, feel, and connect. At Serene Pathway Therapy, we specialize in therapy for perimenopause and menopause, using evidence-based approaches to help women restore clarity, balance mood, improve sleep, and feel grounded and confident again.

Who We Help

  • Cognitive symptoms: brain fog, forgetfulness, difficulty focusing, word‑finding trouble.

  • Mood changes: anxiety, irritability, low mood, motivation dips.

  • Sleep issues: mid‑night wakings, early morning awakenings, hot‑flash‑related insomnia.

  • Relationship & identity: changes in intimacy, confidence, and connection.

  • Work & performance: decision fatigue, memory lapses, executive function challenges.

Short reassurance: You’re not “failing” at self‑care, your brain and body are adapting. Therapy gives you tools that work with your biology.

Our Approach:

Biopsychosocial (Evidence‑Based Model)

CBT for cognition & mood

  • Target brain fog with structured routines, cueing systems, and attention retraining.

  • Reduce anxiety and low mood with thought/behavior tools tailored to hormonal shifts.

Sleep‑focused strategies (CBT‑I)

  • Calm nighttime wakings, manage temperature triggers, and rebuild sleep drive.

Mind‑body & stress physiology

  • Breathwork, mindfulness, and paced recovery to reduce cortisol load and improve executive function.

Collaborative care (optional)

  • With client consent, we can liaise with your family physician or menopause‑informed providers about HRT and related care. (Psychotherapy is effective on its own and can also complement medical treatment.)

What you won’t get: generic advice, toxic positivity, or “just push through.”

FAQS

Is therapy helpful without HRT?
Yes. CBT and CBT‑I have strong evidence for improving mood, anxiety, and sleep in perimenopause/menopause. Therapy can also complement HRT if you choose it.

How fast will I feel better?
Many clients notice small wins within 2–3 sessions (e.g., better sleep window or improved focus); sustained gains typically build over 6–10 sessions.

Do you treat hot‑flash‑related sleep problems?
Yes. We combine CBT‑I with practical temperature management strategies and stimulus control to minimize wake‑ups.

Can you coordinate with my doctor?
With your written consent, we can share summaries and collaborate to support an integrative plan.

Do you see clients outside Ontario?
Absolutely! Just let us know which province you’re in, and we’ll confirm if we’re able to offer therapy there.
